Bowling Green man sentenced in connection to drug trafficking and firearm offenses - WNKY News 40 Television

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - A Bowling Green man is facing 15 years in prison in relation to drug trafficking and firearm offenses. The United States Attorney's Office, Western District of Kentucky says court documents state Jimmy Norris, 47, has been sentenced to 15 years in prison. Officials say the sentence stems from possessing with the intent to distribute 23.456 grams of methamphetamine, illegally possessing a sawed-off shotgun that had not been registered with the National Firearms Act and possessing three handguns, two rifles and sawed-off shotgun as a convicted felon. On Aug. 24, 2016, Norris had been convicted of first-degree promoting contraband and first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance. Norris also has other prior convictions dating back to 2012 and 2006. Norris also faces a three-year term of supervised release following the prison sentence.
